You may recognize this duster from my Las Vegas outfit, and here I've worked it in a *completely* different way. Love when pieces are versatile like that! For this subdued blush look, I paired the jacquard kimono with a sleeveless sweater dress I got from Revolve a couple years ago (I love this and this one, there aren't any sleeveless options out right now, womp womp) and cinched my waist with a skinny leopard belt and some gold layering necklaces.
The blush coat is from Zara (old, but I love the options here and here). My boots are Vince Camuto and I'm wearing Abercrombie skinny jeans underneath. I get a lot of questions about layering and how to do it, many of you have the complaint that you end up looking frumpy or too bulky. Here's the secret - the base pieces underneath the layers need to be SKIN TIGHT. Don't be afraid when you're buying them because you would never wear these pieces alone - of course you wouldn't - BUT, when layering up, you want the base pieces to be super tight to allow the other pieces on top to fit seamlessly without the bulk.
So while I would never wear these skinny jeans alone because they're not very modest, I do have them for outfits like these when wearing high-boots and long tops. The sleeveless sweater dress as well is super tight, but of course I'd only wear it coupled with a long duster or jacket over. Hope this is helpful, just make sure that you stick to your convictions and don't let shaitan tempt you into wearing these super tight pieces by themselves when you inevitably try them on and look super hot ;) Enjoy! xoxo, Mel
