Here’s something interesting you may not know about our Barely There Underscarf: the thread used to sew each one is specially designed for maximum durability and is very difficult to acquire on the market for manufacture. Oftentimes our own Product Manager, Lily Steele, makes trips into New York City’s Garment District to buy the thread in bulk and ship it overseas to our manufacturer! Also, of all the colors offered in our Classic and Criss-Cross Underscarves (which are also a best seller), Mink has continuously been the most popular one! You all REALLY love that shade!

We had a strong hunch that our No-Snag Hijab Magnets were going to be a hit when we debuted them last January, but we were thrilled to see how much you loved them! These beauties are often imitated but never duplicated and are our fastest selling product! When we first got what we thought would be a six-month supply, they sold out in 26 days!

Here’s another interesting tidbit about our magnets: Did you know that they are strong enough to hold through seven layers of our Jersey Hijabs? (Our Merchandise Manager Justine Sahardi tested this) To be even more specific, our magnets are rated to 13,200 gauss (a unit of magnet induction), a common fridge magnet is rated at 100 gauss.

We know you love our Jersey Hijab in Light Mink, especially because it’s the most viewed page on our website, hands down. We are constantly working to keep this particular hijab in stock, as it has sold out a few times in the past.

Our gift wrapping didn’t make our best sellers list before, but it did in 2020. And why? Because so many of you gave gifts to share your friendship and love as COVID-19 kept us largely at home and sheltering in place. When we can’t be together, it’s nice to put a smile on each other’s faces with thoughtful gifts, and we’re so happy you chose to gift your friends and family with gift wrapped Haute Hijabs!

Buttercream, a newer color made the best seller list last year. We expected light mink, jet black and rose quartz, which are consistently best sellers. But it was fun to see Buttercream’s popularity, as well as Glass Slipper, Graphite, Dark Olive and Pewter in our Jersey Hijabs! When choosing custom colors like buttercream, light mink and even rose quartz, we use neutral colored makeup pallets as inspiration. We are on the lookout for tones layered with warmth or coolness to compliment everyone’s skin tone.

Along with Chestnut, Pearl, Black and Blush, our new color of Rosewood in our Chiffon Hijabs has become a bestseller! When the second round of chiffon custom colors launched in 2020, Pearl was the top seller, so much so that it sold out in the first two months. Since then, Rosewood has been number one outselling all other colors by hundreds of units each month. There is something about it’s caramel brown color with rosy undertones that makes it look beautiful on anyone who wears it!

For years, Melanie had a scrunchie that she just loved and said gave her a great bun-shape. That was our impetus to create our own Shaping Scrunchies. There was quite a bit of research and testing that went into these scrunchies, testing fabric, elastic and seams to be able to make the best scrunchie that would hold its elasticity and shape use after use. The biggest surprise to us was how fast they sold out. Our Shaping Scrunchies was the quickest product to sell out since the launch of our Ultimate Underscarves! We had to send a special rush purchase order to our manufacturer to get back in stock as quickly as possible!
