Fall is in full force! The leaves finally changed color here in NYC and everyday has been more beautiful than the last! This is an outfit I took straight from an RL ad when I was in college. A turtleneck AND white collared shirt? Genius! I keep the look understated in all black to avoid from it looking like there's too much going on. The key is to make sure the layers underneath are super tight so you don't look like a big marshmallow and things aren't bunching up underneath.

The black cardigan is BCBG (old, but I like this and this one) and the black turtleneck is sleeveless, again to lessen the bulk. You want it to be super super tight. Mine is from H&M (also old, but this is a great option). Here and here are my favorite white collared shirts.

My boots are Club Monaco and pants are old from Zara but I love these wool trousers from Banana and these from J.Crew.
