What do you do when the world feels like it's imploding around you, with a global pandemic, a nail-biting presidential election, massive school closures, social and civil unrest, rising unemployment, food insecurity, months upon months of sheltering-in-place/quarantining, Hajj proverbially cancelled and mosques in various stages of shut down or reduction in services?
Seek your coping amusement through silly, funny and snarky memes, of course!
Like so many others, our team here at Haute Hijab kept each other going in many ways, one of which was sharing memes and funny stories as they came our way. We don't know if laughter is the best medicine, but it does help! We did a look back and asked for what were some of 2020's best memes! Of course this list is pretty subjective, so feel free to chime in with your favorite memes in the comments below!
We've organized them in four categories for your viewing pleasure: COVID/pandemic, political, general and Muslim-y. Enjoy!

COVID/Pandemic

Yep, there seems to be some sort of hijab/niqab conspiracy afoot. Those pesky Muslims!
All those families who ventured into the world of virtual schooling or homeschooling, amirite?
I mean, now that you think about it, ewwwwwwwwwwww!!
Not exactly a meme, but everyone on Facebook (or social media) is an expert on COVID/science.
Yeah - YOU try helping your kids with virtual schooling!
Busted!
Don't forget starting with a nicely wrapped chiffon and maybe ending with a Woven or Jersey (or heck a hoodie!) thrown over your head when you open the door to bring in your delivery grocery. :)

Muslim

I mean there were so many! The tweets alone!
Truly, THIS was the silver lining in springtime virtual schooling for many Muslim families.
Gotta look good for the 'gram.

Political

Mail-in ballots FOR THE WIN!
The best moment of the Vice Presidential debates :)
Desi's (South Asians) rejoiced at the choice of Sen. Kamala Harris as the Democratic pick for vice president. But secretly we knew what our parents would've said.

General/2020

#facts
It sure felt like the amalgamation of A LOT.
Ya Allah (S), please no!
