New to the hijab game, or just looking to refresh your style? Here are 3 of my favorite hijab styles for woven (formerly known as viscose and modal), chiffon, and jersey hijabs. I broke them down into simple steps that anyone can follow!
Woven Wrap:
Step 1: Frame the hijab around your face as you like, making sure to keep one side shorter than the other. Pin it under your chin to secure.
Step 2: Take the shorter side and wrap it backward over your head.
Step 3: Take the longer side of your hijab, and bring it around in the same direction you took the shorter side. Layer it over your head.
Step 4: Using a small safety pin, secure the top of your hijab by pinning the layers to each other.
Step 5: Style the "tail" end of your hijab by twisting it back a few times, then secure with another small safety pin.
Final Look:Viscose Hijab :) Perfect for an everyday cool and casual look!
Chiffon Scarf
Step 1: Fold Your square hijab into an uneven triangle, and place on your head. Frame around your face as you like, then pin, making sure to keep one side shorter than the other.
Step 2: Bring the back of your scarf to the front, and then take the longer side and wrap it around your neck.
Step 3: Tie the side you wrapped around your neck with the part you brought from the back. (Don't use the "shorter" side yet.) Be sure to double knot so it doesn't open up throughout the day!
Step 4: Finally, take the "short" end that we've ignored up until now, and bring it over to the other side to provide neck coverage, or just tuck into your shirt! Secure with a pin.
Final Look: A beautiful Chiffon Hijab neck-tie to elevate any look!
Jersey Wrap:
Step 1: Frame the hijab around your face as you like. You can either secure with a pin, or for a more comfortable feel, just tighten around your neck and bring one side over your head.
Step 2: Bring one side around and over your head.
Step 3: Pull the "tail" side (that you brought around your head) down, then take the remaining side and wrap it around the opposite side.
Step 4: Tuck the remaining piece in your shirt.
Final Look: A perfect Jersey Hijab for the girl on the go!
