Haute Hijab's Jersey hijabs
Among the things that have become staples in our homes during the past few months, such as masks and hand sanitizer, so too have virtual classes and meetings. With the fall semester having started for so many of us or our children in school and with it being fall fashion time, it’s important to remember that the appearance of being put-together and professional is just as important in virtual learning, work, and communication.
Often, it feels so easy to sloppily throw on a hijab and hoodie (or just the hoodie with the strings pulled tight around our head 🤣) to sit through a virtual class meeting. Sure, keeping it extra casual is certainly all right once in a while, but taking a bit of extra effort to compose a sophisticated look can serve as that extra measure to show a teacher, professor, employer,or interviewer that you are professional and dedicated.
Keep on reading! We’ve compiled some inspiration and wardrobe/hijab options for your next virtual class or meeting!
Button-Up Shirts
If you want to exude professionalism and sophistication, make the focus of your outfit a button-up shirt. For a classic look, choose a pinstripe in black and white. For a more casual vibe, opt for a button-up with an oversized and relaxed fit in a neutral color that gives it an effortless but elegant look. For a stylish look, choose a button-up blouse with a timeless floral pattern, maybe a cute floppy bow-tie under the neck!
Knitted Sweaters
For a cozy outfit that feels like you're still buried under your comforter but looks like you’re ready for work, choose a knit sweater. You can never go wrong with a classic cream sweater in a thick knit that will go with any hijab, but if you’re going for a more fun outfit, try choosing knits in cool pastel tones like mint or blue.
Long-Sleeved T-Shirts
The reality of virtual classes and meetings (and life, in general) is that sometimes we plan to get up early and wear a cute outfit, but we stay up too late the night before and wake up without enough time or energy to style an outfit. For days like that, a simple long-sleeved t-shirt in a calming tone looks cute and cohesive but casual and comfortable. Pair it with your favorite Jersey hijab or a Chiffon print! This look is perfect for Mondays or early morning classes or meetings.
Get Your Jersey On!
No hijab is easier and more comfortable to wear and to style than jersey hijabs. Choose one that compliments your selected top for a cohesive and composed look. Haute Hijab jerseys feel like sweatpants for your head but look rich and luxurious, especially on camera. The beautiful subdued tones of the jerseys are flattering on all skin tones and will make you feel and look beautiful.

Notice how we neglected to mention bottoms in this article. Despite the drawbacks of virtual communication (read: echos, technological difficulties, and hearing “Can you please mute your mics if you’re not speaking?” countless times) one positive is that your camera only shows the top part of your body. Theoretically speaking, you could be wearing pajama pants, sweats, or covered in your duvet and no one would ever know.
